Our Friend Found the Light
Yesterday morning, around 9 am, we lost our precious Oswyn Rose. She had been hurting most of the day on Sunday, we gave her some pain meds and she seemed to settle down a bit. We looked her over very thoroughly, there was no obvious injury so we assumed she had hurt or back or her hip and planned to get her into our chiropractor Monday evening (he only sees dogs in the evening). We don’t know what happened, we have 9 other animals that are perfectly healthy, so it’s most likely something internal we didn’t know about.
This morning, we woke up without her. We let her brother outside to potty, without her. We took our daughter to school, without her. With every little thing we do, with every aspect of our day, we’re feeling her absence. Both my husband and I work from home, we spend every hour of everyday with each other and with our animals. We love that we get to live our lives this way, but on days like this, it makes it all the more real, more impactful that she isn’t with us anymore.
